(include) the ruins of Homer’s great city of Troy, Greek and Roman theatres and temples, the churches of Byzantium and the mosques and palaces of the Ottoman Empire.
MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK, A GREAT LEADER AND REFORMER
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk .......... (be) the father of modern Turkey. He .......... (be) born in 1881. He .......... (choose) the army as a career and in 1915, during World War I, he .......... (lead) the Turkish forces in their defense of Gallipoli and Istanbul. He .......... (end) the war as a hero and the Turkish people .......... (give) him their full support from then onwards. He .......... (lead) the Turkish forces in the War of Independence (1919-1922) and in 1923 .......... (become) the first President of the new Republic of Turkey.
